We have outlined strategies to think of as "generic problem-solving skills." This is a general problem-solving skills of thinking strategy that is different from domain-specific problem-solving are discussed in Chapter 12. In this chapter, we will discuss the nature of learning strategies and strategic thinking, and how both learning and thinking strategies can be taught so that they are in the repertoire learners and available for use. We will give more attention to learning strategies, especially since they have more clearly delineated and their associated insructional strategy has proved more successful than the general thinking strategy again. We will include integration into the expanded instructional events and sample lesson to learn only strategy.
