ABSTRACTSupatmi: analysis of the managerial Abilities of leadership, the head of the madrasa and discipline Teachers Work in improving Teacher Performance (case study on Mts se South Lampung district)Teacher performance is a very decisive factor in learning that would have implications for the quality of output of education. Factor in the leadership of the head of the madrasa provides participation in the creation of a teacher's performance. Leadership is the process of influencing others to take steps-steps or actions towards a shared goal. Because of that leadership is influencing others to work to achieve the objectives that have been determined. The managerial capability of the competent head of the madrasa participated in establishing the performance of teachers due to the motion of the steps an organization controlled by a madrasa principal. Outline of the subject of this research is: 1) how does the leadership of the head of the Madrasa teachers can improve the performance? 2 How does the managerial ability) head of the Madrasa teachers can improve the performance? 3) how is the work discipline teachers in improving teacher performance? 4) how is the performance of the teachers Ment Se-South Lampung Regency? This research was qualitative in nature with the descriptive approach. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, and examination non participatory against documents. Data that has been collected is analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed; 1) Leadership of the head of the madrasa in improving Teacher Performance; (a) the head of the madrasa as a leader gives the motivation to produce educators who do their job with a variety of ways including set up of the room conducive, providing experience against teachers of subjects so that development could run with optimal material. (b) as an educator, the head of the Madrasa apply discipline in drawing up instruction program on time, trying to improve the competence of which is owned by teachers with trying to encourage and facilitate teacher develop her abilities. (c) as the Chief motivators madrasa gave the construction of mental, moral, physical and artistic to all teachers. (d) as a supervisor, the head of the madrasa carry out supervision by making the program semester and annual programs. The supervision is done through individual and group techniques. (e) as the administrator of education, head of the madrasa coordinates all activities that have been designed and poured it in the form of complete documentation. 2 managerial Abilities) head of Mts se-South Lampung district; (a) planning of teacher performance improvements based on vision, mission, goals, and needs the madrasa. (b) the development of teacher performance by the head of the madrasa (a) served in various scientific forums (such as training, upgrading, seminars, and workshops, further studies, revitalizing the MGMP, improving the welfare of teachers, the addition of supporting facilities and services as well as the addition of the library collections, and teacher certification. (c) evaluation conducted in the Madrassa's head teacher is to improve the supervision of education for teachers, both in personal and group. The technique used is the education supervision directly (directive) and indirect (non direcvtive). 3) Discipline the teacher's work is known to still have many teachers who have yet to apply the discipline of work properly. Where, there are still teachers who often are not present, there is still a lazy teacher completes a learning device. 4) the performance of the teacher in the Mts se-South Lampung Regency in General teachers haven't had good enough performance and still needs a lot of coaching in the future.
