City living is once again both desirable and lucrative. Shooping centres in urban location are likely to need to find ways accommodating residential uses. The residential accommodation often needs to be both a mixture of private and public in order to be inclusive of all housing needs.
Private apartements and loft style housing are fashionable and in demand. However, while having the potensial for and attractive environment, private residential traditionally requires long individual leases which may conflict with the requirement for the flexible resail of a retail property investment asset.
