Kahn Unveils Sunset Orange Jeep Wrangler SaharaEvery Friday I am used to receiving an e-mail from Kahn Design with its latest project. And since today is the day, let me introduce you to the Jeep Wrangler CJ300 by the Chelsea Truck Company (CTC). This one is so cute that I am sure you’ll love it as I did. The Wrangler is definitely my favorite from all Jeep models, and it seems like the one and only Afzal Kahn has the same feelings for it, too. So, let’s take a look at the newest addition in Chelsea Truck Company’s portfolio.ExteriorStarting from the outside, the exterior of the Wrangler looks intriguing with its two-tone design scheme. The tuners have used Sunset Orange as paint, but have accentuated it with a contrasting Piano Black used for the door handles, fuel filler cap and mirrors. At the front we see two smoked headlights flanked by a four-slot Chelsea Truck Company grille that features industrial mesh. We can’t miss the LED Diamond bright headlights and CTC’s spare wheel cover, which rounds out the exterior modifications.Wheels & TiresComplementing the Piano Black theme are the Satin Black 17-inch big Jeep 1941 wheels. They fit perfectly to vehicle’s exterior and are fitted with Copper Discoverer ST Maxx 285/70/17 all terrain tires. Commenting on the wheels, we can’t fail to see the new painted brake callipers with a set of mud flaps. There is also a new quad-cross-hair exhaust system.InteriorFor the cabin, Kahn Design has used quilted and perforated leather extensively. It has been matched with contrasting white stitching. The same material was used for the centre glove box and arm rests, while the steering wheel is absolutely new and now offers greater grip and feel for the driver. Are you tired of seeing Project Kahn’s tuning skills solely on Range Rovers? Do you wish the British tuning house would just get their hands on something else? Well, then…You’re not in luck. This is the Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2 Door CJ300, made by Chelsea Truck Company. Chelsea Truck Company was originally part of Kahn Design, but has evolved now into a sub-brand which specializes in modifying Defenders and Wranglers. Of course, the firm still belongs to Afzal Kahn and the tuning expertise is still Kahn’s, but under a different name. Anyway, the Wrangler was always a looker, but with the cool infusion from CTC this particular example is quite a treat. As Kahn’s philosophy goes, the Jeep only needed a little style, comfort and exclusivity. Well, they’ve pulled it off, since the car doesn’t look like a pair baggy khakis anymore. The exterior color is called Sunset Orange and is combined with some piano black accents, in order to provide a nice contrast between the two-toned paint scheme. The smoked-out headlights are serious cool and help with the rugged looks, as well. The Wranglers boots a pair of Satin Black 17-inch Jeep 1941 rims with Copper Discoverer all terrain 285 70 R17 tires, which will come in handy when you will inevitably get stuck in traffic. All it needs now is a winch to help you pull to the kerb. The interior was never the “piece de resistance” on a Wrangler, since it was conceived as practical and straight forward, not comfortable. We’re talking about a 4x4, after all. But CTC & Kahn thinks you can have something from both worlds. That’s why the front and rear seats are now made from quilted leather and even have matching stitching. In fact, if you look closely, leather seized everything in the car. At £31,875 ($48,740), this Jeep is starting to look as posh as G-Wagen. And almost as cool as one, too.
