Truck buyers love special editions and Chevrolet is hoping to please them by introducing the 2016 Silverado Realtree Edition.
Set to go on sale this spring, the special edition is based on the Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab and features a unique exterior with Realtree camouflage graphics. The model also has black trim, black bow tie emblems, side steps, and 20-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires.
Interior pictures were not released but Chevrolet says the model has the Realtree logo embroidered on the front headrests. Drivers will also find camouflage graphics and additional Realtree badging.
Like the standard model, the truck can be equipped with either a 5.3- or 6.2-liter V8 engine. The smaller engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the larger unit develops 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Besides offering two V8 engines, the special edition comes standard with the Z71 off-road package. It includes underbody protection, two hooks, and an automatic locking rear differential. The package also adds Rancho monotube shocks and a Hill Decent Control system.
In a statement, Realtree Designer and President Bill Jordan said "This truck has the perfect combination of features, comfort and safety – whether you’re driving around town, on the highway or off road.”
