Part 28 :

It was morning time. Pleasant breeze blew from the balcony and touched Jalal's face.
He was in deep sleep and there was a contented smile on his face.

The sunrays also fell on his face, he slowly woke up.He could hear the chirps of birds and gigglings of flowers.
The morning had never been so beautiful before. He smiled remembering last night.

He got up and sat on bed. He looked around for Jodha, who was all ready and was doing her Kanha prayers.
He looked at her with mesmerisation. Without creating any noise and disturbance, he went to washroom to freshen up.
After that, he came slowly and sat next to Jodha.

Jodha was smiling all the while. She knew each of his movements, still she didnt look at him. Jodha completed her prayers and decorated the pooja thali.
She stood up and jalal also stood up.

Jodha was trying hard not to see in his eyes. Jalal held Jodha's shoulder and held her chin up.
Jodha looked in his loving eyes. She blushed alot.

Jalal : Jodha! Tum ek dum hoor ki pari lag rahi ho.. Vaise subah itni jaldi kyon uth gayin...Kya raat ko achi neend nahi aayi?

Jodha was shocked to hear this. She immediately turned her face and blushed heavily.

Jodha (trying to change topic): Shayad aap bhool rahe hain Shahenshah ke aaj aapko jung ke liye jaana hai.. Chaliye, aap jakar
taiyaar ho jaiye...Hum apni or se aapko shubhkaamnayein dete hain..Aapki hi Vijay hogi Shahenshah..

Jalal grew serious now. He said - Sahi kaha Jodha Begum aapne!! Humein ab taiyar ho jana chahiye..Aaj humein bahut se sawaalon ke jawab dhundne hain..

Jodha got puzzled and worried! Jalal noticed her and expression and smiled - Fikr ki koi baat nahi Jodha! Hum kal tak vapas aa jayenge..

Jodha smiled and Jalal kissed on her forehead.

** Palace Entrance gate **

Everyone had gathered on the gate. The army was ready. All the Begums, Ruqaiya, Hameeda Bano, and other important women had also
gathered there. They prayed for Shahenshah's victory. Jalal was all ready in his warrior attire and his mighty shamsheer in his hand.

Jodha came with the Pooja thali and put tilak on his forehead and did his pooja.
Jalal smiled.

Jodha - Shahenshah! Hum sabki shubhkaamnayein aapke saath hain. Vijay aapki hi hogi.

Hameeda came and blessed Jalal. Ruqiya fumed seeing Jodha so close to him. She came to jalal and hugged him.
Jalal was shocked a bit and he didnt respond back to her hug. He was looking in jodha's eyes, who looked a bit sad upon this hug.

Ruqaiya - Hum allah se dua karenge jalal, aap hi vijayi hokar lautenge!!

Jalal didnt give any expression and freed himself from hug.

All of a sudden, Shariffudin emerged out from the group of ministers and said - Shahenshah ! Agar aap chahein, to hum jaakar mughali tukdi se nipat lenge.
Hum sab sambhal lenge..Aap yahin par reh jaaiye..

Jalal - Nahi Shariffudin! Humara Jaana zaruri hai.. Aap yahan ruk kar humare piche se nigrani kijiye..Hum aap par yahan ki zimmedari chod rahe hain.

Shariffudin - Jo hukm Shahenshah! (He smiled trickly)

Jalal, his close ministers and his army headed off to Battlefield.

** Battlefield **

It had been evening when they reached the place. The other army had been waiting to attack.

Jalal called his ministers and army and said - Hum chahte hain ki .. Humari sena unke sainiko ka vinaash kare, lekin unke
Subedar (their head) ko zinda pakadkar humare paas laaye.. Tabhi humein pata chal payega ki akhir is humle ke peeche ki baat kya hai..

Misiters and army bowed down and said in unison - Jee Shahenshah!

The fight started. Both of the sides fought. It was very easy for Jalal's army to cover the enemy.

The head King of the enemy was caught alive. Jalal also fought with the soldiers and he easily beheaded them.
He was hurt at some places.

Finally, jalal's army won and they returned back to their tents.

The enemy king was brought before Jalal.

** Agra Palace **

Shariffudin was in his chamber. He laughed evilly and said loudly - Aakhir hum kamyab ho hi gaye.. Aaj hum apna sapna poora karke hi rahenge..
Hahaha...haha.. and he takes out the dagger from his waist cloth.

He continued - Aaj hum Shahenshah ki kamzori par vaar karenge aur jald hi Shahenshah ko bhi Khatam kar denge..
Jalal..Tumne Humare sabse priya dost Adham ko markar thik nahi kiya..Aaj hum uska badla lenge aur tum humein pakad bhi nahi paoge..
Tum to ye bhi nahi pata kar paoge ki Mughalo ne tum par humla kyon kiya..Dimaag to chalaoge nahi..Bas un par Vijay hasil karke aa jaoge.

Yahi to hum chahte the..ki tum Agra se kuch samay ke liye door ho jao.. Ab hum apne pratishodh lenge..

It was now almost night time. Jodha sat in her room alone. She was lost in her smile. She repeatedly thought of their pure love again and again.
She felt very alone without him now.

Jodha self talked - Samay kitna badal gaya hai..Jis shakhs ko ek nazar nahi dekhna chahte the, aaj hum unse Behad pyaar karte hain.
Unke bina ek pal bhi kitna lamba lagta hai.. Shahenshah jaldi se aa jaiye.. and she smiles.

She still feels alone and little scared alone.

**** Battle field ****

Jalal takes out his SHamsheer and puts on the neck of Enemy king.
He says - Gustakh!! Tumhari itni himakat,,ke Ek Mughal hote huye bhi apne Shahenshah par humla karte ho...
Batao kyon hum par humla kiya..Varna abhi isi waqt tumhara sar kalam ho jayega..

The enemy king was scared like a rabbit. Already his army was lost.

He joined his hands and asked for forgiveness - Humein muaff kar dijiye Shahenshah! Humse bahut badi bhool ho gayi.
Hum apne SHahenshah par humla nahi karna chahte the...Humse bahut bada gunah ho gaya hai..Kripya humein muaff kar dijiye..

Jalal fumed - Batao tumne ye kyon kiya?

Enemy king - Vo..Shariffudin ji ne humein aisa karne ko kaha tha.. Unhone humein besh kimti asharfiyan aur zevaraat diye the..
Unhone humse kaha tha ke hum aap par humla bol dein..taaki aap kuch waqt ke liye Agra se door aa sakein..Bas humein itna hi pata hai
Huzoor.. Iske aage kuch nahi pata.. Humein muaff kar dijiye..Humein unki baaton mein nahi aana chahiye tha..

Jalal was hell shocked to hear this. he could not believe what he just heard. He was so angry, that his anger fumed from his eyes.
he raised his Shamsheer to behead the king when his closest minister interrupted him.

Minister - Shahenshah! Ruk jaaiye..Ise zinda rakhna zaruri hai..Taaki hum Mahal vapas jaakar Shariffudin ki sachai sabko bata sakein.

Humein jaldi Agra Vapas lautna chahiye..Pata nahi us Shariffudin ke kya napak iradein hain..

Jalal suddenly got worried and shouted - Jodhaa!! Nahi..aisa nahi ho sakta..Humein abhi isi waqt nikalna padega..
Jodha..ya Ammi Jaan..ya kisi aur ko kuch nahi hona chahiye...

The enemy king was arrested. Jalal and his army headed off to Agra.

** Agra Palace **

Shariffudin saw the immense security outside Jalal's room. It was around midnight now.
He thought - He would have to go by some other way.

He sneaked in Jalal's room from the balcony. it was very difficult although.
It was full dark in the room. Jodha had put off the lights before sleeping.

He could not see anything, But Shariffudin was happy, he will implement his plan without any failure.
He saw the figure sleeping on bed. As soon as he moved towards the bed, she turned around in sleep .
He immediately bent down and took out his dagger.

He stood again, went near her..Put his hand on her mouth so that she doesnt make any noise and stabbed his knife in her stomach.
He again and again stabbed till she died.

Sharifuddin almost went in trance. He was so happy, he could not believe that he was succesful.

He slowly creeped out of the room through Balcony. In his immense happiness, he forgot his knife on the bed.
