For the purposes of this Convention

For the purposes of this Convention :
1). the term “Customs law” means all the statutory or regulatory provisions enforced or administered by the Customs administration concerning the importation, exportation, or transit of goods;
2). the term of “customs offence” means any breach, or attempted breach , of Customs law;
3). the term “Customs fraud” means a Customs offence by which a person deceives the Customs and thus evades, wholly or partly, the payment of import or export dusties and taxes or the application of prohibitions or restriction laid down by Customs law or obtain any advantage contrary to Customs law;
4). the term “smuggling” means Customs fraud consisting in the movement of goods across a Customs frontier in any clandestine manner.

Untuk tujuan Konvensi ini:
1). istilah "hukum Bea" berarti semua ketentuan yang undang-undang atau peraturan ditegakkan atau dikelola oleh Administrasi Pabean mengenai impor, ekspor, atau transit barang;
2). istilah "adat pelanggaran" berarti setiap pelanggaran, atau berusaha pelanggaran, hukum Pabean;
3). istilah "Bea penipuan" berarti pelanggaran pabean oleh seseorang yang menyesatkan Bea dan dengan demikian menghindar, seluruhnya atau sebagian, pembayaran impor atau ekspor dusties dan pajak atau penerapan larangan atau pembatasan yang ditetapkan oleh undang-undang Kepabeanan atau mendapatkan keuntungan apapun bertentangan dengan hukum Pabean;
4). istilah "penyelundupan" berarti penipuan Bea terdiri dalam gerakan barang melintasi perbatasan Bea Cukai dengan cara klandestin.
