1. Assertive utterances : to tell what the know / believe

2. Performative utterances : the state of afairs
Example : baptise, bet, name
3. Verdictive utterances : the speaker make an assesment of judgmen
Example : congratulation, excuse

Example : apologize, contess
5. Directive utterances : to get the addresses to perform some act
Example : you , he
6. Commisive utterances : commite a speaker to a course of action
Example : ask , offer
