Several environmental and personal thermal comfort parameterswere analyzed prior to the selection of the indoor airtemperature [10]. Sharma and Ali’s concept was selected for theelaboration ofthe thermal perceptionmap. This is for the predictionof subjects’ thermal perceptions at various indoor air temperatures. Some modifications were included. For instance, Sharma andAli used probit analysis only for the prediction of the optimumcomfort temperature. In this study, several statistical methodsand tests were included to check the validity of the prediction. This was explained in Section 3. This investigation is probablythe first thermal comfort study in which rigorous statistical testswere considered. Additionally, three statistical methods were compared.Furthermore, we compare the implications of using Sharmaand Ali’s thermal comfort concept in combination with Ballantyneet al.’s concept [19] in Section 4.5. The conceptual issuesbetween both approaches in predicting comfortable temperaturewere addressed
