cultural conflictsuppose thet you're planning to visit a part of the world about which you know very little-except that is it quite different from your own coutry. you are sophisticated enough to except that the spoken languange and probably some gestures will be different. you know, too tha customs will be different, but you are not sure exactly what this will mean. the climate and foods will be different, of course, but these differences are attractions and are not really problems. such is the would-be tourist's view of a foreign culture. from the moment you arrive, your cultural and personal backgound will influence everything you expect and a great deal of what you do and do not do... most of the people you meet will be similarly influenced by their own backgrounds, culturally, socially, and personally,if some of the people you meet thing you act a little strangely, they may never know wether you are peculiar, or wether most people froom your country are strange, or wehther all "foreigners" are strange. still to the extent that you are aware of the possibilities of different behavior in the land you are visiting, you may be unusually self-conscious of some of this "normal behavior.
