There is little information as to whether dentists
prescribe radiographs appropriately for children’s
dental examinations during the primary dentition. Both
general dentists and pediatric dentists are primary
dental care providers for children and regularly take
radiographs for diagnostic purposes. The final decision
regarding a radiographic examination rests with the
knowledge and clinical judgment of the practicing
dentist. The purposes of this project were to character-
ize the radiographic examination practices of general
dentists and pediatric dentists for children in the pri-
mary dentition stage of development and to determine
if there are differences between the recommendations of
the two groups of practitioners.

Ada sedikit informasi mengenai apakah dokter gigi
meresepkan radiografi tepat untuk anak-anak
pemeriksaan gigi selama gigi primer. Kedua
dokter gigi umum dan dokter gigi anak yang utama
penyedia perawatan gigi untuk anak-anak dan secara teratur mengambil
radiografi untuk tujuan diagnostik. Keputusan akhir
mengenai pemeriksaan radiografi terletak pada
pengetahuan dan penilaian klinis dari berlatih
dokter gigi. Tujuan dari proyek ini adalah untuk karakter-
ize praktik pemeriksaan radiografi umum
dokter gigi dan dokter gigi anak untuk anak-anak di primer
tahap mary gigi pembangunan dan untuk menentukan
apakah ada perbedaan antara rekomendasi dari
dua kelompok praktisi.
