Design
The Copenhagen Prospective Study on Asthma in Childhood (COPSAC) 2000 is a single-centre, prospective clinical birth-cohort study of 411 children born to asthmatic mothers, with the primary objective of investigating gene-environment-phenotype interactions in the development of atopic diseases. Key exclusion criteria were gestational age < 36 weeks, severe congenital abnormality, neonatal mechanical ventilation and symptoms of lower airway infection prior to inclusion.
The infants were included at 1 month of age and attended the COPSAC Clinical Research Unit every 6 months for scheduled clinical investigations. Additional visits were arranged immediately upon onset of any respiratory or skin-related symptoms [12–14].

The Copenhagen Studi Prospektif di Asma pada Anak (COPSAC) 2000 adalah satu-pusat, calon studi klinis kelahiran-kohort dari 411 anak yang lahir dari ibu yang menderita asma, dengan tujuan utama menyelidiki interaksi gen-lingkungan-fenotipe dalam pengembangan penyakit atopik. Kriteria eksklusi kunci yang usia kehamilan <36 minggu, kelainan bawaan yang berat, ventilasi mekanis neonatal dan gejala infeksi saluran napas bagian bawah sebelum inklusi.
The bayi dimasukkan pada usia 1 bulan dan menghadiri COPSAC Clinical Research Unit setiap 6 bulan untuk penyelidikan klinis dijadwalkan . Kunjungan tambahan yang disusun segera setelah onset dari setiap pernafasan atau gejala yang berhubungan dengan kulit [12-14].
