Biological characteristics of yellow eels
In this study, Japanese eels were sampled in several
different regions of the Hamama Lake system, and
evidence of a variety of demographic differences
among areas was found. In the lake habitats sampled,
large female eels were found in Hamana Lake
compared to in Inohana Lake, although the upper size
limit of the males was similar between the two
habitats. Moreover, a wide range of sizes of eels were
found in the middle reaches of the Nishijinden River.

Dalam studi ini, belut Jepang sampel di beberapa
daerah yang berbeda dari sistem Hamama Lake, dan
bukti-bukti dari berbagai perbedaan demografis
antara daerah ditemukan. Di habitat danau sampel,
belut betina besar yang ditemukan di Hamana Danau
