Toyota will demonstrate its hydroge

Toyota will demonstrate its hydrogen vehicle expertise once more through this new FCV Plus concept arriving late this month at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Sharing the spotlight with the S-FR concept, this all-new concept for a fuel cell vehicle adopts a futuristic shape and is powered by four in-wheel motors while the fuel cell stack sits between the front wheels and works with the hydrogen tank installed behind the rear seats. This hardware arrangement has freed up the interior to enable a more spacious cabin that consequently boosts comfort for the passengers.

The FCV Plus concept is a small concept as it is only 3800 mm long, 1750 wide and 1540 mm tall, with a massive wheelbase of 3000 mm which is really impressive given the car's limited overall length. Both the exterior and interior design seem to be taken straight from a Sci-Fi movie and what caught our attention is the lack of a conventional dashboard as the vehicle only comes with a head-up display.

Needless to say, Toyota doesn't have any plans to introduce a production version, but this concept does emphasize their efforts as far as FCV development.
