[Salinan]Disalin!
Yuri’s POV “I- I think… I’m bound to you.” “WHAT?!” I stood up from my bed, both hands on my head. Bound?! To me?! “YOU!” I pointed my index finger at the lady ghost. She raised an eyebrow at my gesture. “You are not true! You are just a fiction of my imagination!” I’ve heard about ghosts and about them being bound to places where they died or where they were often seen when they were alive, but… A person?! This ghost is bound to a person. Not just any person. Me. It says it’s bound to me. This is insane.Yes, I must be going insane.I’m imagining things. That’s it. With my shaking hands, I held my phone and dialled.Yes, calm down, Yuri, this isn’t true. This is just a fanfic written by a crazy author. Right?! RIGHT??? If this is a dream, you just need to wake up.Oh God, please let this be just a very, very bad dream… Yuri, don’t lose your cool. You need help, yes. But you also need to take care of your image.I nod as I talk to myself. Yes. Breathe in, breathe out.I heard the person on the other side pick up my call. Breathe in... ... Breathe out...... “WAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! TAEYEONTHERE’SAFCUKINGGHOSTINFRONTOFME WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! HUHUHUHU HELP ME!!! KILL IT!!!” The doe-eyed girl ghost crossed her arms and scoffed at me. “Aren’t you freaking out too much for something that is ONLY a ‘fiction of your imagination’? And just in case you haven’t noticed…” She took three steps closer to me.
I backed against the wall.
“You. Can’t. Kill. Me.” The ghost said with a smirk.
“TAEEEEYEEEOONNN!!!! HUHUHUHUH YOU CAN’T KILL IT, IT SAYS!!!”
Taeyeon: “Calm down, Yuri. Is it really a ghost? Like the one in the movies?”
“YES IT’S A FREAKING GHOST!!! LIKE THAT BOY IN THE GRUDGE MOVIE MAKING THE WEIRD NOISES!!!”
The doe-eyed girl in front of me tilted her head slightly, opens her mouth, and imitates the weird cat noises the boy makes in the movie.
“ASDDFSAFDAD FFFFCCKKKKK TAE!!! IT’S TOSHIO-ING!!! HUHUHUHUHUHUHUHU!!! OHMYGOD TAE MAYBE TOSHIO WASN’T A BOY AT ALL AND GREW UP AND NOW IT’S IN FRONT OF ME!!! WAAAAAAHHHHHHHUHUHU!!!”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” The doe-eyed girl’s mouth was wide open as she laughed, doubling over while clutching her tummy.
Taeyeon: “Just calm down, Yuri. Maybe you just hit your head somewhere…and you’re just… imagining things. I’ll go there in just a bit, wait for me.”
Beep.
“Oh, you’re done with your call? Does that mean I have you all to myself now? Hmm… What to do?”
A devilish grin was on the face of the doe-eyed girl, and she is now slowly starting to approach me.
Eottoke??? Huhuhuhu!!!
I closed my eyes and ran through her. It felt like I went through a slightly breezy wind…
Then I opened my eyes as I ran towards the front door. I WILL get out of here.
HA! See? I –
“What the…”
The door’s sealed shut by mini planks nailed on the wall and on the door.
“Uhuh, uhuh. Unless you can saw the planks in half, or find something to loosen the nails… You won’t get out of here. Keke.”, she said as she grinned at me.
“D-Don’t come near me!” I ran to my closet and locked myself in.
HA! I’ll be safe from her here!
“Unni…”
I felt a soft breeze on my ear as I heard the whisper.
“I didn’t know you’d want to be this intimate with me…”
I twisted my head to my right, and ended up nose-to-nose near with the ghost.
She batted her eyelashes.
God... Please take me now.
Soon enough I’ll die from heart attack anyway…
I closed my eyes and turned my head straight back.
I could feel myself shaking from fear, my heart beating so powerfully against my chest.
Can’t ghosts be repelled by holy stuff? So I decided to pray…
“Our father… who art in heaven…” I whispered, my hands clasped tightly together.
.
.
.
.
“Hallowed be thy name…” The ghost said.
.
.
.
…
.
.
.
I’m crying now.
ASDFDSFQWFGRST IT’S PRAYING WITH ME DAMMIT!!! HUHUHUHUHUHUHU!!!
I jumped out from the closet, sank on my knees, and cried.
…
.
.
.
After about 15 minutes of crying, I noticed it was silent.
I looked up. The doe-eyed ghost girl was sitting with her back on the wall opposite me.
She was drawing circles on the floor with her finger.
She must’ve noticed that I already stopped crying because she looked up at me. Her doe-eyes were filled with guilt and concern as she spoke.
“I’m sorry, unni… You were too funny so I couldn’t resist teasing you…”
I wiped away my tears and remained silent.
“But… I will never hurt you, unni.”
Her voice rings true with sincerity.
I try to stop myself from believing it.
Useless, really, because I knew a part of me already does.
Because here I am. Still breathing. Still unscathed. Still safe.
I grit my teeth.
“Why did you lock me up in here?” I growled.
“I was afraid you’d try jumping off the rooftop again the moment you wake up,” said the doe-eyed girl, her eyes filled with worry.
And looking down on the floor, she continued,
“So I went into you. With your body, I sealed the door… and made you puke the pills you took when you gained consciousness for a bit… and I threw away all the other pills that I thought you could take again… And I also hid away all the sharp things in your kitchen… and I threw your rope from the window, so you can’t do it that way, too,”
My jaw dropped.
She doesn’t look like she was done with her confession, as she opened her mouth again to speak,
“And should you ever try to kill yourself again, I’ll possess you in order to stop you.”
What…
.
.
.
My mind was buzzing with too many questions and concerns that I cannot comprehend.
Should I worry more about how she could possess me?
Or about how much she wants me to live?
I was saved from the agony of thinking of how to respond when I heard banging on the door.
“Kwon Yuri! Open up! It’s me, Taeyeon. Are you ok?”
I stood up and went to the door.
“I- I’m okay, Tae. I just can’t open the door. It’s sealed shut. Can you get help?” I shouted.
“Arasso. Wait for me.”
Taeyeon left, and it was quiet once again. I went back to where I was sitting before.
I’m still scared. Who wouldn’t be when you’re stuck in a room with a ghost?
But seeing how she was willing to go as far as locking me up just to prevent me from killing myself…
It’s a bit less scary when you know that there’s no impending danger.
Might as well get to know this ghost bound to me.
Maybe she knows how we got into this ghost-person-bounding situation, and how we could get out of it.
“What’s your name?” I asked.
“Im Yoona. Oh, and I heard that Taeyeon-unni outside calling you ‘Kwon Yuri’, so no need to tell me yours, unni.”
She’s so talkative…
“How did you die?”
“I don’t know, unni… I can’t remember much,” said Yoona, hugging her knees tighter.
“Why are you bound to me?”
“I don’t know either, unni. The most recent memory I have is you almost jumping from the rooftop, and me saving you. Then I tried leaving from the room, but I can’t go through the walls. Like I had to be where you are. Kinda like how it went with the closet. You went in there, so I appeared in there, too.”
“Oh heck… This is so fcked up…” I sighed. “Do you have some unfinished business or somewhat?”
Of course, my real question was ‘how do I get rid of you?’, but it would sound too rude.
“I really can’t remember much, unni… I’m sorry.” She mumbled, and bowed.
Well, damn. Does this mean I’d have to be stuck with her forever? I groaned.
Yoona bit her bottom lip while looking down.
The corner of my lips turned up against my will.
Kyeopta!
She looks like a kid being apprehended by her parent for doing something bad! Keke.
She smiled when she caught me smiling. I cleared my throat and looked away to hide my embarrassment.
“Yuri! Step away from the door!” It was Taeyeon.
I stood up and backed away, and Yoona followed suit.
Drrrrrgggggggggg…
Yoona moved a bit more closely to me.
“YAH! I’m still scared of you. Don’t come near me.” I said, stepping away from her.
She pouted, but said no more.
I instantly felt guilty, but I can’t help it. It was true.
To ease the tension, however, I started up another conversation.
Loudly this time, because the drilling was too noisy.
“Yoona. You’ve been calling me ‘unni’ all the time. What makes you think I’m older than you?”
She pointed at me.
“Wrinkles.” She said simply, and laughed.
“YAH!!!” I covered my face. “THESE ARE LAUGH LINES!!!”
“Kekekeke riiiiight…” said Yoona, still smiling silly.
“What about laugh lines, Yuri? Are you all right?” Taeyeon was finally able to open the door, and after paying the man who helped, she walked in front of me and touched my forehead.
“Um… Y-yeah…” I answered.
“Freshen up. I’m taking you to the hospital.” Taeyeon said, hands on her waist.
“Wae?”
“You’re just imagining things. Maybe that accident did do something to you.”
I cringed. It’s been a long time since any of us mentioned anything about that.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Yoona’s slightly tilted head. I’m guessing that she’s curious.
“I’m fine, Tae. Let’s not talk about that.”
“We won’t, if you come with me. Now, move.”
“All right, all right.
