Dear Scholarship Commitee,

My name is Yaztrid Nur Aulia, most people call me Yaz which we know it means summer in Turkish. I was born in the country where tourists said heaven on earth, Indonesia. Precisely Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. My father is an owner of company in Jakarta and my mother is a housewife. I raised with one brother and two sisters. And im the third of four children.
When i was 3 years old, my mother decided to move to another city because of several problems happened in Jakarta. It's far away from the capital city. Because my father's job is in Jakarta, he couldn't join us to moved. But every three weeks or one in a month, he came to visit us. It's so hard at the beginning to live separately with my father. I still remembered how i cried all night just want to see him. I saw how my mother struggles to raised 4 children by herself. Because of this situation, i grew up to be daddy's little girl whose independent. I know he works and he's doing his best for me. so I must give my best too, and be something he prouds of.

About my education background, my mother sent me to kindergarten when i was 4 years old. I showed a great desire in learning. Then i went to the best elementary school in my city. The school is kind of special school because it is really tough to be one of students in that school. But i passed it, and they accepted me to be one of their students. I had a lot of smart friends here. It was interesting when i can give myself challenge to compete with them. I made books as my bestfriend. While the other children were sleeping, i woke up at 3 a.m in the morning just to study. Time, efforts, and my passion of studying led me to won a festival science competition. During elementary school, I just love books more than i love toys, maybe that's why it made me always on the top position in my class and it also made me to be student with achievements. Except it, i also join several activities in my school, i join drawing club and drawing competition, but there is a club i love the most called “little dentist”, with white coat and my name on it. My job is to become a real dentist assistant. It was so fun. I can help to heal my friend's teeth because in elementary school there's so much my friends who have bad teeth caused of chocolates and candies. It is my first time and unforgettable experience in my life.
Junior school number 1 is my next step. In here i just spent my 2 years of school while the other spents 3 years. Because i pass an exam for excelleration class. This class include smart students, actually i don't really like to feel the taste of competition, but this class pushes me to feel it, i have less time in so much books that must be finish in 2 years. This time i really give my best of study. But one thing which makes me little disappointed is i don't really know my friends well. In here, i also spent little of my time i have to join the scientific paper of teens and school board magazine. Both of them need creative ideas, and i like it because i can develop myself.
Next school is Semesta Bilingual School, my dad gives me full authority to choose any school that I want. it's located in different city, this time is where i have to take responsibility of myself because i live separated with my family. It's not so hard for me anymore. In this school i learn about the true friendship, learn how to speak at the public place, gain confidence, and learn to be a leader when i join an organization in high school called “Bendera Pusaka Flag Hoisting Troop”. Demonstrating leadership gives me the opportunity to show others that I am competent, confident, and capable of excelling in the future that lies ahead of me despite the obstacles and challenges that are present for me. I already use my time effectively this time and I get the best result too. Then after graduation, I make big decision to continue my study in Turkey. And in my 17 years old I go to Turkey not only to learning turkish language but also waiting the turkiye scholarship.

Even I've visited Turkey before but It kills me sometimes, Being away from people I love like my mother, siblings, and friends is the most difficult thing for me. Since I will be away from my home for a long time, it can be really hard and confusing at the beginning. But the good things is I have so many new friends here so I can manage my feeling of homesickness. Besides, I can still keep in touch with all the people I love in my home country through Internet or social media. I think life's not meant to be lived in one place right? And this is the begining. I'm lucky because i'm here, so i will do my best of study as a dentist student. I would be honored and grateful for whatever assistance you are willing to provide. Your investment in me will not only assist me in the accomplishment of my personal goals, but will benefit our community.
