“Yah, Im Yoona!”
...
“What?” Yoona grumbled as she
covered herself under the sheets.
“Can you please lower down the
aircon? It’s too cold.”
Yuri looked at her hubby with a
puzzled expression but turned
towards the aircondition to lower the
temperature. When she was about to
turn the switch, she noticed that the
temperature is already low.
“Huh?” she asked herself. She walked
back to Yoona and sat down on the
bed. Something’s not right. Yoona is
all curled up into the sheets as if
she’s sleeping under the snow. Yuri
reached out to touch the doe eyed
girl’s forehead and she instantly
flinched at the temperature.
“Ottoke! Yoona, you have a fever!”
Yuri panicked as Yoona coughed
heavily in reply.
“Ottoke...what to do? What to do?”
Yuri mumbled to herself as she
walked back and forth. This situation
is not new to her due to their stay at
the dorm but she always has
someone like Hyoyeon, Taeyeon or
Sunny with her whenever Yoona is
sick or whoever member inside their
dorm.
The tanned girl grabbed her phone as
she ran to the bathroom to get the
basin and towel. As she was filling
the basin with water, she waited for
Taeyeon to answer the phone.
“Yo, Yul?” Taeyeon said cooly.
“Tae! OMG! Help me. Yoona is sick
and i don’t know what to do and...”
“Calm down, black pearl. What
happened?”
“I don’t know. I woke Yoona up this
morning and she seems so weak. She
even told me to lower down the
aircon but when i did, the
temperature is already low. I touched
her forehead and her temperature is
really high! She even coughed so
hard.” Yuri explained.
“Hhmm...maybe Yoona has a flu.She
worked really hard these past few
days. Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. You
can call your mom to give you some
tips on how to take care of your
hubby.”
“Arasso, thank you so much! I got so
scared and i don’t know what to do.”
“Why would you be scared?”
“W-what if i fail? What if something
happens to Yoona because i didn’t
take care of her properly? What if i’m
a bad wife? What if—“
“Stop thinking too much, Yul. Yoona
is fine.”
“It’s just that i’m used that Yoona
always looking out for me and now
that she’s sick, I want to do
something for her.” Yuri mumbled.
“I’m sure Yoona is not asking you to
return the favour. She’s very caring
just like that especially for you.”
The wifey paused for a while to think
about what the kid leader said. ‘What
does she mean by that?’ Yuri just
shrugged it off. Yoona is with her all
her life and now that they’re living
alone together, Yoona just wanted to
take care of her even though she’s
the unnie.
“Yul? Are you still there?” Taeyeon
asked.
“Y-yeah. Can i just call you back? I
need to call my mom to ask for help.”
“Sure, no problem.”
“Thank you so much, Tae.”
“It’s nothing, i’m your sister. Talk to
me if you need anything, okay?”
“Okay, I will. Bye.”
“Bye.”
Yuri put her phone back to her pocket
to turn off the faucet when she saw
the basin is already filled with water.
She brought it back to their room
along with a towel. She saw Yoona,
with her back towards her, curled up
in their bed. She sat on the bed
beside Yoona and as if a reflex,
Yoona turned around and put her
arms around Yuri’s waist to snuggle
into her.
“Yoong?” Yuri whispered. “I’ll just
wash you up with a wet towel, okay?”
Yoona nodded and snuggled deeper
into Yuri. While Yuri was washing
Yoona’s arm, she couldn’t help but
feel sad whenever her hubby coughed
so hard or sneeze simultaneously.
She will call her mom for sure.
After giving Yoona a sponge bath, the
doe eyed girl went back to sleep
while snuggling Yuri. The tanned girl
smiled as she slowly removed her
hubby’s arms and replaced it with a
Rilakkuma doll. She went out of the
room to dial her mom’s number.
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
“My baby Yul, what is it?” Her mom
cooed.
Yuri rolled her eyes at the nickname
and said, “Umma, Yoona is very sick.
I don’t know what to do. Can you
please help me?”
Her mom can easily felt the sadness
in her daughter’s voice and said,
“Aawww my baby is caring for poor
Yoona. Don’t worry umma is here. So,
what is wrong with her?”
“Yoona has a fever and has been
sneezing and coughing so bad.”
Just then, Yuri heard a series of
cough from the room followed by a
weak voice that said, “Yul?”
Yuri walked inside the room and saw
Yoona, still lying on the bed, facing
her.
“What’s wrong? Do you need
anything?”
“I’m just wondering where you are.”
Yoona said weakly as she sniffed.
“Oh. I’m just talking with my mom.
I’ll be back later.” Yuri smiled and
Yoona nodded as she went back to
sleep. That is the sign that Yuri
needs to leaver Yoona alone.
Yuri went back to the living room to
talk to her mom again.
“Hello, mom?”
“Baby Yul? Is that Yoona?”
“Ne. Sorry, she just wondered where i
went.”
“That’s okay. I was just listing the
things that you need for Yoona. Go
get a pen and paper.”
Yuri went to sit on the sofa near the
coffee table and saw a pen and
pieces of paper on top of it.
“Ok, mom. Shoot.”
“Okay, you need to keep Yoona cool
all the time to lessen the heat of her
body. Make her some soup when
she’s hungry and to lessen her cold.
Make sure that she drinks a lot of
water and be sure that she drinks her
medicine okay? Let her have a lot of
rest. You don’t need to go out to buy
things because i already stock the
things that you need, just look for it.”
“Thanks, mom. I got it.”
“No need to thank me, baby Yul. I’m
so glad that you grew up to be a
caring wife.”
“Jinja?”
“Jinja.” Yuri’s mom laughed which
made the tanned girl laugh as well.
“Okay, thank you again, mom. I got to
go.”
“Okay. Take care of Yoona, okay?”
“I will.”

“Mom?”
“Ne?”
“Please stop calling me baby Yul, i’m
married now.”
Yuri’s mom laughed so hard that Yuri
has to put away the phone on her
ears.
“Okay, Mrs. Im.”
Yuri laughed at her mom and after a
few reminders and goodbye, they put
down the phone. Yuri sighed and
started her task for the day: taking
care of her hubby.
