Ford reveals B-Max Colour Edition, packs stronger 140 hp Ecoboost 1.0-liter engine

The second largest US automaker has recently introduced in Europe the new B-Max Colour Edition, which comes with styling changes but most importantly also premieres the 140 PS 1.0 Ecoboost engine.

The small multi-activity vehicle will be up for grabs by customers in Europe from early this year as the automaker has just launched production of the special series at the Ford plant in Craiova, Romania. The B-Max Colour Edition comes with a range of ten body colors that have a contrasting black roof and mirror housings, but also boasts bespoke 16-inch alloy wheels with optional black finish, a gloss black front grille, black front and rear skid plates, rear privacy glass and a large rear spoiler on the tailgate. “The new B-MAX Colour Edition shows that style and practicality really can go hand-in-hand,” comments Roelant de Waard, Ford of Europe vice president. Interior modifications have been limited but the B-Max can be had with a host of accessories and systems: Ford’s voice-activated SYNC connectivity system, optional 5 inch colour display and navigation system, and manual air conditioning. An optional pack adds Cognac brown contrast stitching to the seats, steering wheel, gearshift and floor mats.

Coming this spring, the B-Max will also be available with the most powerful iteration of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine – 140 PS. The model also features the auto start/stop system as standard and will reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.4 seconds with an average fuel consumption of 5 l/100 km (56.5 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 116 g/km.
