Can there be a text without an interpretative author? Although the notion of interpretative author is complex, the answer to this question is the same. On the one hand,
if the interpretative author is understood as an audience that has an understanding of the text which differs from that of the historical author, then many texts have no
interpretative authors. Some may not have them simply because no one else but the historical author is acquainted with them. Others may not have them because all of
the audiences acquainted with the texts understand them in the ways, in which the historical authors understood them.
