The basic problems were that in 2D

The basic problems were that in 2D mode the machine would work flawlessly, however in 3D mode games the game program would either crash at random occasions either after a couple of minutes or after a couple of hours. Sometimes it would cause the machine to lock up or even blue screen. This happened both on Windows Vista 32bit and Windows 7 64bit. I tried everything from different drivers, to dissable the NVIDIA audio to changing the NVidia driver settings and nother helped.

I know these cards had compatibility issues with v1.0 PCI-E motherboards and I tried everything to get this to work on mine. In a modern v2.0 PCI-E motherboard machine the card works flawlessly.

Eventually I've finally managed to solve it. I did this by changing one setting in the BIOS. Of course with my old 8800GTX everything worked fine without having to change any settings in the BIOS.

In by BIOS I have this setting (as described by the MSI manual:

PEG Force X1

The field enables or disables the PEG (PCI Express Graphic) port function. Setting

options: [Enabled], [Disabled].

My understanding of this setting was that is turns the 16x PCI-E port to 1x. Slowing the graphics card throughput down. However in my case no loss of performance occured and the system is now absolutely stable with no issues.

I thought I would let other know in-case they wanted to try this.

Akhirnya aku akhirnya berhasil mengatasinya.
