Instrument
The TGMD-2 (Ulrich, 2000) was used to investigate the motor performance of children in this study. The TGMD-2 examines the gross motor development of children from age 3 years, 0 months to 10 years, 11 months (Ulrich, 2000). The TGMD-2 consists of 12 test items equally divided into two subtests (6 locomotor test items & 6 object control test items). The locomotor subtest includes run, gallop, hop, leap, horizontal jump and slide while the object control subtest includes strike a stationary ball, stationary dribble, kick, catch, overhand throw and underhand roll. The TGMD-2 instrument was selected for its reliability (large normative sample), suitability (same age group and gender ratio) and short assessment duration (20 minutes per subtest, Ulrich 2000). Each test item includes four to five performance criteria to describe the performance qualitatively.

The TGMD-2 (Ulrich, 2000) digunakan untuk menyelidiki kinerja motorik anak dalam penelitian ini. The TGMD-2 meneliti perkembangan motorik kasar anak dari usia 3 tahun, 0 bulan sampai 10 tahun, 11 bulan (Ulrich, 2000). The TGMD-2 terdiri dari 12 item tes terbagi menjadi dua subyek (item tes 6 alat gerak & 6 item tes kontrol objek). The alat gerak subtest termasuk menjalankan, berpacu, hop, lompatan, lompat horisontal dan geser sedangkan subtes kontrol objek termasuk menyerang bola stasioner, menggiring bola stasioner, tendangan, menangkap, overhand melempar and roll curang. The TGMD-2 instrumen dipilih untuk kehandalan (sampel normatif besar), kesesuaian (kelompok usia yang sama dan rasio jenis kelamin) dan durasi penilaian singkat (20 menit per subtes, Ulrich 2000). Setiap item tes meliputi 4-5 kriteria kinerja untuk menggambarkan kinerja kualitatif.
