A. Conclusion
From the data finding in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that students’ ability in writing recount text is considered good. It can be seen from students’ ability in writing the orientation that is considered fair, students’ ability in writing the series of events that is considered fair, and students’ ability in reorientation that is categorized very good. From the data above the concluded that students writing recount is good.
It means that students’ discourse competence is good; it seemed from their ability in mastering socio cultural competence. Beside that, among the three aspect (orientation, series of event, and reorientation), the students good writing in reorientation.

B. Suggestion
Based on the research finding in the previous chapter, there are some suggestion can be made especially for the English teacher of MAN 1 Maninjau who teach the tenth grade students. It is suggested for the English teacher to find the best way in teaching about recount text to the students. The teacher then, needs to give explanation and lead the students to comprehend about the important aspect that should appear in the orientation, the series of events, and reorientation of a recount text. Beside that, the teacher should also teach more detail of a recount text. Next it is suggested for the teacher to give more practice to the students in writing recount text in order to tell them in recognizing and understanding the important aspect of a recount text. The students need to develop the knowledge about writing recount text especially the generic structures: orientation, series of event, and reorientation. Besides, the students need to pay attention to how to write good orientation, series of event, and reorientation. The students should keep practicing more in writing besides listening, speaking and reading in class.
