The Shepherd’s Boy

There was once a young Shepherd Boy who tended his sheep at the foot
of a mountain near a dark forest.
It was rather lonely for him all day, so he thought upon a plan by which
he could get a little company and some excitement. He rushed down towards
the village calling out ‘Wolf, Wolf,’ and the villagers came out to meet him,
and some of them stopped with him for a considerable time.
This pleased the boy so much that a few days afterwards he tried
the same trick, and again the villagers came to his help.
But shortly after this a Wolf actually did come out from the forest,
and began to worry the sheep, and the boy of course cried out
‘Wolf, Wolf,’ still louder than before. But this time the villagers,
who had been fooled twice before, thought the boy was again deceiving them. Consequently, nobody came to help him.
So the wolf made a good meal of the boy's flock and when the boy complained, the wise man of the village said:"A liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the truth.

Gembala Boy

Ada sekali Anak Gembala muda yang cenderung dombanya di kaki
gunung dekat hutan yang gelap.
Itu agak sepi baginya sepanjang hari, jadi dia pikir suatu rencana dimana
ia bisa mendapatkan sebuah perusahaan kecil dan beberapa kegembiraan. Dia bergegas ke bawah menuju
desa berteriak 'Wolf, Wolf,' dan desa keluar untuk menemuinya,
dan beberapa dari mereka berhenti dengan dia untuk waktu yang cukup.
Ini senang anak itu begitu banyak bahwa beberapa hari setelah ia mencoba
sama trik, dan lagi penduduk desa datang ke bantuannya.
Tapi tak lama setelah ini sebuah Wolf benar-benar datang keluar dari hutan,
dan mulai khawatir domba, dan anak laki-laki tentu saja berteriak
'Wolf, Wolf,' masih lebih keras dari sebelumnya. Tapi kali ini penduduk desa,
yang telah tertipu dua kali sebelum, pikir anak itu lagi menipu mereka. Akibatnya, tak ada yang datang untuk membantu dia.
Jadi serigala membuat makanan yang baik dari kawanan anak itu dan ketika anak itu mengeluh, orang bijak dari desa mengatakan: "Seorang pembohong tidak akan percaya, bahkan ketika ia berbicara kebenaran.
