Treatment:
Common therapy time is about 5–10 minutes when approximately 1500–3000 pulses is applied to the
area of the pathology.
Specific therapeutic protocol differs according to the indication and actual health conditions of the patient.
The therapy is administered in contact manner using direct application onto the treated area. It is
recommended to keep one week interval between the therapeutic sessions.
Prior to the therapy itself apply few impulses into the air adjacent to the animal in order to observe its
reaction to the sound of shockwave.
Start the application outside the most painful area and then after few dozens of pulses move on directly
above the pathologic area.
Always adjust the therapeutic pressure to the expected reaction of the animal patient. The sensitivity
threshold is different in different species and this has to be taken into consideration when setting the
pressure.
The rest regime is recommended after the shockwave therapy. First two days post the treatment only walk
is acceptable. Starting from the third day trot is allowed in slow pace.
