The Osgood and Schramm circular model
The next model of this chapter was presented by Wilbur Schramm (1954) and originated with C.E Osgood. If the Shannon model could be describe as linier, we may say that the Osgood-Schramm model isghly cicular. Another difference lier in that whereas Shannon’s interest is primarily directed to the channels mediating between the senders and receivers, Schramm and Osgood devote their discussion to the behavior of the main actors in the communication rocess. Even so, there are important similarities between the two approaches.
