Yamaha Tracer 300 rendered – Based on the YZF-R3 / MT-03
Having revealed the Yamaha Tracer 300, the Japanese brand has got the media and fanboys excited. Rendering images have now emerged on the internet for a smaller sports tourer motorcycle which is being dubbed as a ‘Tracer 300’. This model will be based on the MT-03 / YZF-R3. This tourer model is only in speculation phase and no concrete data is available about such a development.
The bike sports a semi-fairing, large windscreen, raised handlebar, covered sides of the radiator, engine underbelly and longer travel front fork. The side panels have also been reworked in this rendering. Everything behind remains more of less the same with the seat layout, exhaust, tail lamp & mud guard, etc.
If at all this bike turns out to be real, it will be powered by the same 321cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol motor producing 35 BHP & 22 Nm, similar to the MT-03, matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Tracer 300 would have better aero performance when compared to the MT-03 thanks to the semi-fairing.
