The option prices are displayed in Table IV for each of the 14 flights covering various
routes across different airlines. Under the column “opening day”, values of the call and
put options, if purchased on the opening day to lock-in the observed ticket prices
(i.e. maturity period of 79 days), are presented. Under the column “cheapest price day”,
option values are calculated on the day when ticket price for a given itinerary was ex post
lowest. As expected, the cost of an insurance policy is higher for routes where volatility is
high and is a function of the desired purchase price or resell price, which for the purpose of this paper has been set equal to the current ticket price. Some of the options under the
column “cheapest price options” have zero prices. This is simply caused by the fact that
the minimum ticket price was observed on the last day.

put option, jika dibeli pada hari pembukaan untuk mengunci-harga tiket yang diamati

nilai opsi dihitung pada hari ketika harga tiket untuk jadwal yang diberikan adalah ex post

tinggi dan merupakan fungsi dari harga pembelian yang diinginkan atau menjual kembali harga, yang untuk tujuan makalah ini telah ditetapkan sama dengan harga tiket saat ini. Beberapa pilihan di bawah
kolom "termurah pilihan harga" memiliki harga nol. Hal ini hanya disebabkan oleh fakta bahwa
harga tiket minimum diamati pada hari terakhir.
