She tried again: “Be-be… be-b-ecause…”

She then groaned. He wasn’t sure if it was because of what he was doing to her, or because she was aggravated that she was stuttering, something she hardly ever did anymore.

His grin turned mischievous either way. He loved it that he could still make her stutter.

“Because…?” he repeated in a playful whisper expectantly, moving his lips to nibble her earlobe. He growled again when he heard her whimper helplessly.

“W-we have all… kinds… do to- to… to-day…” In a distant corner of her mind, she berated herself for no longer being able to form complete sentences.

“Huh…?” he questioned teasingly, hooking his thumbs on the elastic of her shorts and beginning to push them down.

Her hands, which had been tangled up with his wild spiky hair, went down to where his were and tried to stop him.

“Yo-…” she sighed and tried to compose herself. “You’re insatiable…” she remarked helplessly as he continued devouring her neck with tender kisses.

He smirked. “For you… always.”

She finally managed to grip both his hands and bend her back far enough to be able to look down at him, panting slightly. Naruto was always awed at how flexible she could be.

“We can’t… not right now… we have a busy day ahead of us. It would be best to get started on our responsibilities early, and fulfill them as soon as possible.” Finally. Complete sentences….

Naruto frowned, sticking his lower lip out and pouting like a child who just had candy snatched from his grasp. She had a knack for ruining his fun sometimes.

“That way we can have more free time at the end of the day,” she added cleverly, knowing he would like that.

She smiled at his pout, and releasing his hands, brought her hand to his face to gently glide her fingertips along his jaw line. “Maybe tonight?” she suggested shyly.

He gave her a toothy grin, concurring and sealing their agreement with a quick brush of his lips against hers.

“I’ll hold you to it,” he promised once he pulled back with a playful gleam in his eyes.

Hinata allowed herself to grin and gingerly began to remove herself from him. She did not, however, get the chance to do so, as she was immediately pulled back into his arms. She tumbled on top of him with an eep, and Naruto snickered playfully as he wrapped his arms around her, and squeezed her tightly.

“Oh, I love you so much, Hinata-chan…!” he groaned happily.

She couldn’t help but to giggle and hug him back with as much fervor.

He held her for what seemed an eternity, almost as if engraving the feel of her body against his. Lord only knew when he would get the chance to hold her again throughout the day. He finally loosened his grip and watched as she propped herself on her elbows and looked at him with that shy smile of hers.

“I just wanted to hold you,” he informed. “Now you can go.”

Hinata giggled quietly. Sometimes she had to remind herself that he was like a child, demanding the affection he never got to have in his earlier years. Thus she allowed him to hold her greedily out of the blue whenever he suddenly felt the need. It was as if he wanted to remind himself that he was no longer alone… that he had her to provide him with all the love and attention in the world.
