US JEEP SPECIALIST OMIX-ADA HAS PARTNERED WITH SEMA CARES TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY AT NEXT MONTH’S SEMA SHOW WITH ITS CUSTOM JEEP WRANGLER JK UNLIMITED.

“READY WHEN YOU ARE,” is how Omix-ADA describes its custom Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited, which has been designed and built as a conversation starter to raise awareness of SEMA Cares charitable work within the automotive aftermarket space. The SEMA Cares Jeep, transformed from a standard four-door Jeep Wrangler JK, was custom designed by Arianny Celeste (of UFC fame), LFTD & LVLD Magazine, Rugged Ridge, SEMA Cares and built by DUB Garage.

The Jeep is outfitted with a number of unique Rugged Ridge products including its aggressively styled Spartan Grille, XHD Modular Front Bumper kit, LED Light Bars and more. “We’re proud to partner once again with SEMA Cares,” said Henk Van Dongen, Director of Marketing at Omix-ADA.

“SEMA Cares does so much to help ensure the continued success and growth of our industry by actively engaging the future generation of enthusiasts and industry professionals. We couldn’t be happier to support this committee that gives back not only to the industry, but also to the community.”

This custom Jeep marks the third time Omix-ADA has partnered with SEMA Cares over the past three years; first with a donation of $50,000 in support of charities related to the SEMA community in 2013, and last year with the first ever offering of a custom built Jeep Wrangler with all proceeds going to the charity. This year’s custom built Jeep will also be auctioned off.

t looks like Hyundai will have a crowded stand at this year’s SEMA Show, as the Korean carmaker is previewing a third project already.

Chicago-based Blood Type Racing, known for its extreme take on Korean vehicles, has revealed a first sketch of the Veloster Turbo R-Spec built for SEMA.

Described as having “an evil twist” because of its red projector “demon eye” headlamps and red accents, the BTR Edition Veloster features a “Carbon Black” paint job accented with a red racing stripe running from the front splitter up onto the hood.

A carbon fiber wide-body kit gives the car a more aggressive stance, while the front-mounted aero canards, front splitter and a rear deck spoiler provide down force at speed. The car rides on custom SSR three-piece wheels with red accents.

The cabin has been stripped out and given the full, race-spec treatment thanks to the addition of a four-point roll cage, Sabelt bucket seats, harnesses and steering wheel, along with audio upgrades from Rockford Fosgate and Tanabe OLED Revel gauges.

Power comes for the production Veloster’s 1.6-liter “Gamma” four-cylinder engine which has been reworked to produce more than 500hp. Modifications include new cylinder sleeves, a high-boost Garrett turbocharger, custom connecting rods and pistons and a retuned OEM ECU.

“With a specific output of 312 horsepower/liter, we’re pushing this small displacement motor close to Formula 1 levels of performance. We’ve developed a number of internal components to help manage the power demands of this new engine, and paired with our hunkered-down suspension and aggressive exterior visuals, this Veloster is guaranteed to turn heads on the SEMA show floor,” said Sam Lee, Director of Marketing, Blood Type Racing, Inc.
