Patient ages at initial diagnosis ranged from 25–64 years(mean age 44.1 years). Breast-conserving surgery was performedin 23 patients and mastectomy in 51.The histologic type records were unavailable for 10patients because they underwent primary surgery atanother institution or at our institution but pathologicrecords were unavailable. Therefore, the original tumorhistologic types were available for 64 of the 74 patients.The histopathologic diagnosis of primary and first recurrenttumors in 74 patients are presented in Table 1. The originaltumor sizes were available for 46 patients and these rangedfrom 5–105 mm (mean 25.4 mm). Numbers of positive axillarylymph nodes at time of surgery were available for 61patients, and 20 had positive axillary lymph nodes(32.8%); 11 had pN1, three patients had pN2, and sixpatients had pN3 stage. Histologic grade was available for44 patients; four were of histologic grade 1, 20 were ofgrade 2, and 20 were of grade 3. Therefore, 91% of thepatients (40 of 44) with available histologic grade datawere of histologic grade 2 or 3. Endolymphatic tumoremboli were visible in 15 (30.6%) of 49 patients withavailable records for tumor emboli.
