Folic acid fortification of enriche

Folic acid fortification of enriched grain products in the late 1990’s appears to have resulted in a decline in stroke and ischemic heart disease deaths.

There has been evidence of three-fold acceleration in the decline of stroke related mortality that has been temporarily related to folic acid fortification.
