Drug release was determined using
dissolution tester type apparatus II (paddle
method), where 900mL of HCl 0.1N was used
as dissolution medium maintained at
37±0.05°C at 50rpm for 6h. Aliquots of 10mL
were withdraw at 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180,
240, 300, and 360min with replacement of
10mL of the fresh media. All the samples
were analyzed directly at 202.4nm (λmax of
captopril) using UV-Vis Hitachi U-2900
spectrophotometer.
