Quotes are doing the rounds in many Spanish and Portuguese news outlets about recent comments Cristiano Ronaldo has made over his last major relationship with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk.

Ronaldo has recently been a non-stop PR tour as the Real Madrid star promotes his new documentary.

Noticeably, despite Cristiano having been in a relationship with Irina Shayk during the time the film was shot, his ex-girlfriend failed to appear in the movie.

Ronaldo has now been directly asked why Irina plays no part in his film, with the superstar replying:

Life has good and bad parts, and there are parts of one’s life that are not important.

It’s worth noting that the film’s director, Anthony Wonke, has also commented that Ronaldo was filmed with Irina Shayk duringthe making of the movie, but those edits were left on the cutting floor. He said:

We had several shots, even having dinner with Irina… But the movie is short.
