The Basics

Our goal is to ensure that all great freelancers can succeed on oDesk, whether they work a lot or a little on our platform. We’re offering membership plans in order to support you at whatever activity level makes sense for you.

Highly active freelancers have the option to subscribe to a paid Freelancer Plus membership plan, which gives them a higher Connects allotment, the ability to purchase and roll over Connects, visibility into what others are bidding, and other premium benefits to come.

Freelancers who don’t need as many options can choose the Freelancer Basic plan, which is free. This membership comes with a basic Connects budget that meets most people’s needs.

By default, you will automatically be enrolled in our free Freelancer Basic plan. You have the option to upgrade, but only if it’s right for you.

As your needs change, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.


The Details

Here’s how the plans compare:

Connects – Virtual tokens all freelancers must submit in order to apply for a job. Basic includes 60 Connects per monthly cycle. Plus includes 70, as well as the additional benefits below.

Add Connects as Needed – You receive a limited number of Connects per billing cycle. Plus plan members can purchase additional Connects as needed ($1 each). Basic plan members must wait until their next billing cycle for their Connects balance to be refilled.

Rollover Connects – Plus plan members’ Connects don’t expire at the end of the billing cycle. Up to 70 unused Connects will rollover for use the following billing cycle. Basic plan members’ unused Connects expire at the end of the billing cycle.

View Competitor Bids – Only Plus plan members see the high, low, and average bids on jobs.
