Released in August 2011, the Samsung GT-S5610, also known as Primo, is one of the older but high quality smartphones from Samsung Mobile. As it happens with all smartphones, you may have experienced software issues such as errors and freezes that disturb you. In such situations, you might want to improve your phone’s performance by performing a factory reset.

A hard reset on your Samsung GT-S5610 is a sure way to make your phone work and solve most software-related issues quickly, which is why we recommend this procedure when needed. On the other hand side, restoring your phone to factory settings will also erase all the data on the phone. To avoid losing any important information such as contacts, messages or applications, we suggest you make a backup before getting started.

Running on Android OS, the Samsung Primo GT-S5610 is equipped with two cameras: a 5 MP primary camera attached with smile detection, as well as autofocus and LED flash and a VGA secondary camera that can take pictures and record videos. Coming with MP3 and MP4 player and a Bluetooth v3.0, the phone can store up to 108 MB internally and up to 32 GB on its external micro SD card.

Before taking any further action, you will need to make sure you’ve completed a backup, so you won’t lose any important data. To do so, all you have to do is plug your phone into your computer using the USB cable and copy all the information in a folder, to restore it afterwards. Alternatively, you can use the Phone Copy application for Android, which guides you through all the necessary steps.

Now that you saved your data, you can safely start the master reset procedure, in order to restore your phone to factory settings. To do so, please follow the steps below:

Turn your phone off before getting started and don’t interrupt the procedure at any moment.
Press the Menu, Volume Up and Power keys at the same time until the logo appears.
When the pop-up selection will show up, scroll down to Factory Data Reset using the Volume Up and Down keys then confirm by pressing the Menu key.
Your phone will take a few minutes to reboot and then be successfully restored.
You can also do the same by using the reset code – all you have to do is enter *2767*3855# in your dialer. Once you confirm your phone will reboot by itself and wipe all your contacts, photos, music, messages, etc. The hard reset procedure is also detailed in the video below.
