There were two separate AMT, CBT/AM

There were two separate AMT, CBT/AMT, and VCT/AMT groups composed of comparable numbers of high and low self-monitors offered at different times. There were 5 or 6 subjects in each of the resulting groups. All pretreatment assessment materials were completed prior to the first group session. Posttreatment assessments were completed within 2 weeks of the last group session.
The AMT group met for 1 hr one evening or afternoon a week for 6 consecutive weeks. The CBT/AMT and VCT/AMT groups attended the 1-hr AMT sessions twice a week for the first 3 weeks of treatment. They completed the CBT and VCT components by attending six subsequent 90-min group sessions once a week, for a total of 9 weeks of treatment. Participants were required to attend all six CBT and VCT sessions but only five of the six AMT sessions because of the practical constraints involved in attending six sessions in 3 weeks. Individual makeup sessions were conducted so that the content of any sessions not attended was covered, and no participant missed more than the single AMT session.

Ada dua kelompok AMT, CBT AMT dan VCT AMT terpisah yang terdiri dari sebanding jumlah tinggi dan rendah diri monitor ditawarkan pada waktu yang berbeda. Ada 5 atau 6 mata pelajaran di masing-masing kelompok dihasilkan. Semua bahan-bahan penilaian pretreatment diselesaikan sebelum sidang kelompok pertama. Penilaian posttreatment diselesaikan dalam waktu 2 minggu setelah sesi kelompok terakhir.Kelompok AMT bertemu untuk 1 hr satu malam atau sore hari seminggu selama 6 minggu berturut-turut. CBT AMT dan kelompok-kelompok VCT AMT menghadiri AMT 1 jam sesi dua kali seminggu selama 3 minggu pertama pengobatan. Mereka menyelesaikan CBT dan VCT komponen dengan menghadiri enam sesi berikutnya grup 90 menit sekali seminggu, dengan total 9 minggu pengobatan. Peserta diharuskan untuk menghadiri semua enam sesi CBT dan VCT tetapi hanya lima dari enam sesi AMT karena kendala praktis yang terlibat dalam menghadiri enam sesi dalam 3 minggu. Makeup individu sesi dilakukan sehingga isi dari setiap sesi tidak dihadiri tertutup, dan peserta tidak kehilangan lebih dari satu AMT sesi.
