'The start of something new'

Jalal checked the time on his watch again. It was nearly 3 pm, and the organisers were supposed to wrap up early. He was getting highly restless and his other hand was intertwined in Jodha's. They both sat next to each other, as the person on the podium showed no signs of stopping his speech. Both were happy and glowing, especially Jodha. The smile on her face had not faded off even once; her first kiss and all the cuddling with Jalal had made her really fluttery. She wanted to be in his warm embrace again; it seemed to take all her worries away. She tried to pay attention while taking peeks at the handsome man beside her, who seemed to be engaged in the same thing. He could have done anything to leave with her at that instant and run off to the hotel room, where they could spend the rest of the evening with each other before they returned tomorrow. He stared intently at her luscious lips; how much he wanted to kiss them again. Finally, things seemed to be in their favour, as the speaker finally ended his speech. Both were elated, as they got up from their seats.

Jalal completed some formalities while Jodha sat in the lounging area. She turned around to check for him and there he was, walking to her with a big smile on his face. She got up; the smile on her face widened further. He finally came to her and gave her a warm hug, while her head rested on his chest. Both then faced each other, with his hands around her while she looked into his eyes.

Jalal - Should we go now?
Jodha (smiling) - Yes
They exited the place, and a prepaid taxi waited for them. Both of them entered and comfortably sat beside her. He instructed the driver to pull out, while she rested her head on his shoulder; their hands interlocked.
Jalal - What do you want to do in the evening today, Jodha?
Jodha - Umm...I don't know. Aren't we supposed to finish packing?
Jalal - Oh yeah, but I don't think it should take too much time. Plus we are flying out on 13th morning and we have an entire day tomorrow! We could dine in one of the restaurants in the hotel itself
Jodha - Oh okay
Jalal put his other hand on her head and began stroking it lovingly.
Jodha - You know I wanted us to spend some more time together before we got back
Jalal - Hmm, so we are going out na?
Jodha - Offo! I meant some alone' time in our room! We were brutally cut short by duty calls in the morning! Luckily we have one free day (pausing for a while) - Wait! Why don't I sleep in your room tonight?
Jalal - Umm..I don't mind if you are alright with it
Jodha - I have no problems (putting her hand on his chest) - I just want to be with you, Jalal
Jalal - Oh Jodha, and I want you by my side
Both of them continued to be lost into each other and had no clue about what was happening around them. So much so, that when the cab driver reached the hotel, he had to prompt Jalal nearly thrice. They reached their room, and Jodha slumped on the sofa. The day had been really exhausting for the both of them. After sitting inactive for quite some time, Jalal decided to get up and make some coffee for the both of them. After a while, he came out with two mugs in his hand. She took it from his hand; taking a quick sip while he found a place beside her.
Jodha (delighted) - Umm...this is really nice! I love strong coffee! How did you learn to make this?
Jalal (smiling) - I stayed in a hostel once so when we pulled all-nighters during exams, I would make coffee for my room-mates
Jodha - Oh, I am sure they also must have loved it
Jalal - Some of them did, some of them didn't. Once, I forgot to add sugar by mistake so the roomie poured the coffee on my head!
Jodha began laughing; it was as if she hadn't heard anything funnier. Jalal couldn't help but look at her face; the smile no doubt made her glow and enhanced her beauty even further. Looking at her smile made him smile as well!
Jodha decided to finish with her packing right away. The coffee had taken her sleep away; but it could do absolutely nothing to take away her exhaustion, yet she pushed herself to finish this boring task. After pulling out the empty suitcase from the wardrobe, she began stacking her clothes neatly, making place for her cosmetics and other items as well. She picked out something to wear for the evening and for the flight. After finishing, she began scanning the room to check if anything was leftover, and her eyes fell on the white dress lying on the bed. She picked it up and buried her face in it.
Jodha - I will never forget today; it was the most special day of my life. I finally realised that I love Jalal!
She smiled and folded the dress; stacking it in the suitcase. She was waiting in anticipation for the evening, as she stood in front of the mirror; admiring herself. Her face had a visible glow, which had magically appeared after the events of that morning. She touched her face; running her hands over her forehead, nose and her lips, which were still a little sensitive. It reminded her of the kisses they had shared in the morning; it was gentle yet a bit rough at the same time. She found herself getting all fluttery at the very thought of it.
Jodha (running her fingers over her lips) - The kiss was so magical! It felt out of this world! I hope...it happens again
Jalal was resting in his room. He had finished a little bit of packing which he had to do and lay on the bed; thinking how things had changed in a matter of a few hours. The thoughts of her sudden realisation, their subsequent confession and then their romantic moments were running through his head. It all seemed like a dream to him; he was finding it a little hard to digest that Jodha only loved him and no one else. He smiled, thinking of all the time they would spend together that evening.
It was around 7 pm. Jodha began dressing up, she wore a beautiful pink long dress which had a slightly low-cut and broad straps. She wanted to take extra efforts to look good that day, to see that smile on his face. After putting some kajal in her eyes, she lined her lids with some liner. She wore a light pink colour lip gloss and slipped a pair of hoops in her ears. After brushing her hair and allowing it to set, she wore her perfume. A pair of silver flats adorned her feet and she was ready to go.
Jalal was sitting in the room, waiting for her to step out. He was wearing his formal pants and a black linen shirt. He heard the door open and looked up. She stood before him, and his eyes widened. She had never looked this beautiful; she looked transformed. He couldn't take his eyes off her; for the first time he felt speechless. She walked to him and he stood up as they readied to leave.
Jodha (with a smile) - Chale?
Jalal - Haan
She began walking ahead but he urged her to stop.
Jalal - Jodha!
Jodha (turning around) - Haan?
He walked up to her and lowered his face towards her ear.
Jalal (whispering) - You have never looked this beautiful before. I don't know what has happened but...I am at loss for words today
He moved his face to her cheek and gave her kiss. It was in all a very cute moment, and Jodha felt elated. He straightened himself and looked into her eyes; they seemed to smile along with her. She put her hand in his, and they finally left for dinner.
All the while, they couldn't take their eyes off each other. The lighting was dim, and the candle light glowed beautifully; making him look divinely handsome. His features were absolutely perfect, and she openly admired him. His outfit was no less than smart and she couldn't help but notice how he carried each of them so well.
After paying the check, Jalal swiftly put his hand around her waist and they began walking towards the elevator. All the while, he clutched her like his possession. She had been looking very gorgeous that day and he had caught some men in the restaurant looking at her. It had made him slightly livid; only he had the right to do it! She was enjoying the attention, oblivious to what he was feeling from within. They stepped into the elevator and the doors shut. Both were alone, so Jodha thought this was her chance.
Jodha - Jalal?
Jalal - Umm...
He turned his face to look around and she planted a sweet peck on his lips. He was obviously surprised, but he was enjoying from within as he savoured the moment. She slowly pulled apart, as the doors swung open. They stepped out, with Jodha slightly blushing and Jalal having a sly smile on his face. On entering, she rushed towards her room.
Jodha - You go and freshen up. I'll be there in a few minutes
Jalal - Oh okay. I'll be waiting
She removed her footwear and threw her dress on the bed. She opened the drawer and pulled out her pink nightgown.
Jodha - Thank God I carried this! He will surely love it!
She put it on and removed her make-up. After checking herself for one final time, she went to his room and knocked on the door. He had already changed into his nightwear and signalled her to come in.
Jalal - Jodha, there is no need to...
He was dumbstruck looking at her. She looked undoubtedly cute and sexy in that nightgown, and the colour seemed to suit her as well. He stared at her from top to bottom, giving her a sly smile. He walked to her, while she continued to await his reaction. As the distance between them closed in, he buried his face into her neck. Her long, silky hair fell on his face as he planted soft kisses. He could feel her sweet scent, which urged him to go on further. She could feel herself going into a trance, as she let out a soft but shrill moan. She put her hands around him as he began kissing her wildly. He bit her slightly, teasing her as she winced. He then pulled away and stood up to look at her; her cheeks had become red and the shyness was evident. He gave her a sly smirk.
