DISCUSSION
This study was conducted to compare the results of resuscitation policy and practice surveys obtained in 2001 and 2008. In particular we sought to ascertain if there had been an improvement in the nurses’ access to using AEDs following the WA DoH operational directive. Our results confirm that there were changes in resuscitation policy and practice within the period between the surveys. Specifically, there was an improvement in the number of hospitals with AEDs, the proportion of hospitals that allowed nurses to defibrillate and the uptake of ARC guidelines.

PEMBAHASAN
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan hasil kebijakan resusitasi dan survei praktek yang diperoleh pada tahun 2001 dan 2008. Secara khusus kami berusaha untuk memastikan apakah telah terjadi peningkatan akses perawat untuk menggunakan AED mengikuti petunjuk operasi WA DoH. Hasil kami mengkonfirmasi bahwa ada perubahan dalam kebijakan resusitasi dan praktek dalam periode antara survei. Secara khusus, ada peningkatan jumlah rumah sakit dengan AED, proporsi rumah sakit yang memungkinkan perawat untuk defibrillate dan penyerapan pedoman ARC.
