The seventy three isolates were recovered from the thirty samples of the various categories of food. The recovered isolate were characterized on the basis of colour, shape, texture, margin, arrangement and staining characteristics (Table 2). Seventy three isolates were characterized on the basis of colony morphology and the staining characteristics. It was observed that thirty-nine isolates were gram (-ve) rods, twenty-five isolates was gram (+ve) rods and nine isolates was gram (+ve) cocci (Fig 2).
