Linguistic creativity is one of Chomky’s important concepts on the nature of a language.
This concept helps us to comprehensively understand how human beings are always creative in
creating the meanings, actualizing their ideas and thoughts by means of a language.


Hence, in the TEFL context, in addition to the teaching of grammar the L2 language teaching six
should be ideally enriched with the teaching of language functions. This objective should lead
the students to interlanguage pragmatic which Kasper and Blum- Kulka (1993) defined as ‘a
non-native speaker’s use and acquisition of linguistic action patterns in a second language’. With this competence they are able to comprehend and produce proper utterances according to the
context where the communication occurs. It is a big challenge indeed.

Konsep ini membantu kita untuk secara komprehensif memahami bagaimana manusia selalu kreatif dalam
menciptakan makna, aktualisasi ide dan pemikiran mereka dengan cara bahasa. Oleh karena itu, dalam konteks TEFL , di samping pengajaran tata bahasa L2 bahasa pengajaran enam harus idealnya diperkaya dengan pengajaran fungsi bahasa. Tujuan ini harus mengarah siswa untuk antarbahasa pragmatis yang Kasper dan Blum- Kulka (1993) didefinisikan sebagai ' penggunaan non-pribumi pembicara dan akuisisi pola aksi linguistik dalam bahasa kedua'. Dengan kompetensi ini mereka mampu memahami dan menghasilkan ujaran yang tepat sesuai dengan konteks di mana komunikasi terjadi. Ini adalah tantangan besar memang.
